Review : Motherboard Intel DZ77GA-70K


Belum lama ini Intel telah meluncurkan prosesor desktop andalan barunya yang dikenal dengan kode nama Ivy Bridge. Untuknya, Intel meluncurkan pula beberapa chipset baru yang salah satunya adalah Intel Z77 Express. Intel Z77 Express ini mirip dengan andalan Intel sebelumnya, Z68 Express (juga bisa dipasangkan dengan Intel Ivy Bridge), namun ada beberapa perbedaan. Salah satunya adalah dukungan 4 USB 3.0 yang telah diintegrasikan.
Intel DZ77GA-70K adalah salah satu motherboard seri Extreme Intel yang menggunakan chipset baru ini. Karena kelas atas, ia hadir dengan fasilitas yang lengkap: selain SATA 6Gbps dan USB 3.0 dari chipset, ada eSATA 6Gbps, FireWire, port debug, Back to BIOS switch–semacam tombol clear CMOS, tambahan 2 kanal SATA 6Gbps, 2 LAN gigabit, dan modul Bluetooth/WiFi. Oh ya, USB 3.0-nya ada 8 yang sayangnya dicapai lewat hub (berbagi bandwidth).
Untuk PCI-Express x16-nya, Intel menyediakan 2 slot versi 3.0 (x16 x8) dan dukungan SLI serta CrossFireX.

    Selama ajang pameran CeBIT 2011 yang berlangsung di awal bulan Maret yang lalu, Gigabyte memang pernah memamerkan salah satu motherboard Sandy Bridge terbarunya yang mengusung model P67X. Dan secara diam-diam, kini Gigabyte kabarnya juga tengah serius bersiap-siap untuk meluncurkan jajaran produk motherboard terbarunya dari model P67X pertamanya tersebut yaitu P67X-UD3 dan P67X-UD3R.
Kedua motherboard ini tampak memiliki layout yang mirip. Sedangkan yang membedakan hanyalah terletak pada warna PCB yang ada.

   Dimulai dengan model P67X-UD3, motherboad ini didasarkan pada revisi B3 dari chipset Intel P67 Express dan pada dasarnya memiliki kesamaan dengan motherboard P67A-UD3 yang Gigabyte pernah luncurkan sebelumnya pada awal tahun yang lalu. Namun untuk model P67X terbarunya ini, Gigabyte telah melengkapinya dengan fitur PCH heatsink yang lebih besar, 90-derajat sudut port SATA, FireWire controller serta Marvell 88SE9172 SATA 6Gbps RAID IC yang juga terdiri dari sepasangan konektor SATA tambahan.

  Sedangkan pada bagian belakangnya tampak terdapat warna I/O port yang telah diubah dari hitam menjadi merah. Selain itu, motherboard ini juga memiliki sepasang port USB 3.0 (sedangkan dua lagi yang terdapat pada on-board header) dan kini didukung oleh host controller USB 3.0 Etron EJ168

Seperti disebutkan sebelumnya, motherboard selanjutnya dari model P67X series ini adalah P67X-UD3R. Motherboard model ini menggunakan papan sirkuit yang berwarna hitam serta desain PWM yang telah disempurnakan. Selain keberadaan driver MOSFET, motherboard ini juga menggunakan 10 fase dibandingkan dengan 6 fase yang dipakai di-P67X UD3.
Sejauh ini sayangnya belum ada rincian mengenai harga dan ketersediaannya yang secara resmi dilansir oleh pihak GigaByte. Dan menurut publikasi VR-Zone, kedua motherboard tersebut kabarnya akan segera merambah beberapa toko online di wilayah Asia-Pasifik dalam waktu yang tidak lama lagi.

Motherboard dari manufaktur XFX ini memiliki kualitas yang lumayan bagus,saya sendiri memakai produk motherboard ini, selain mendukung prosesor AMD phenom 95watt, motherboardboard ini juga memiliki desain yang elegan, dengan pipa Heatsink di north dan south bridge nya,untuk pelepasan panas yang lebih sempurna ketimbang pendingin kipas atau potongan silikon konvensional pada chipset motherboard.
Gambar dibawah ini menunjukkan fungsi-fungsi panel, yang ada di bagian belakang motherboard ; 



Motherboard ini memiliki kualitas Integrated Grapich yang terbilang lumayan untuk ukuran onboard VGA dengan chipset GeForce® 8200 share memory up to 512MB. Saya mengetes nya dengan memainkan game PES 2011 ,medium quality.
Motherboard ini juga mendukung teknologi lawas Hybrid SLI (mengkombinasikan GPU onboard dengan GPU add-on), yang rumor-nya dapat meningkatkan kualitas grafis sampai 45% di windows vista dan 7.
Hybrid SLI pada mobo ini hanya dapat di enable jika GPU Onboard 8200 ini bertemu GPU/VGA add-on tipe 8400GS atau 8500GT(sepertinya tipe ini sudah langka dipasaran).

ECS P55H-A memang terlihat lebih sederhana dibanding beberapa P55 lainnya. Yang kasat terlihat adalah sistem pendingin yang hanya terdapat pada sisi atas dan samping socket saja, itu pun dengan bentuk yang tidak besar. Dua slot grafis di motherboard ini juga hanya mendukung modus CrossFireX saja tanpa bisa diaktifkan ke modus SLI.
 ECS P55H-A juga menyertakan dukungan instant boot seperti yang dihadirkan ASUS, ASRock atau MSI. Fitur dengan nama eJIFFY ini mengadopsi sistem operasi Linux yang di dalamnya telah terintegrasi aplikasi utama seperti web browsing, photo reviewing, dan on-line chat. Ketika masuk ke dalamnya, OS akan mendeteksi koneksi internet secara otomatis sehingga kita tidak perlu repot mengatur konfigurasi untuk terhubung ke dunia maya. Namun tidak seperti di motherboard lain, eJIFFY tidak ditanam di memori tersendiri, melainkan harus terinstall di harddisk.

Meski demikian ECS tetap menyediakan fasilitas overclock di motherboard ini. Fasilitas ini bisa dilakukan memalui BIOS di bawah menu M.I.B II (Motherboard Intelligent BIOS). Meski bermodal tampilan satu halaman saja, menu di dalamnya terbilang cukup lengkap untuk memompa performa. Satu yang perlu diperhatikan, pastikan pilihan CPU Turbo Boost technology dalam posisi “Enabled” untuk mendapatkan kinerja optimal. Dengan multiplier yang diturunkan hingga 15, base clock tertinggi yang kami capai mentok di angka 170MHz.
Satu yang kami suka dari motherboard ECS adalah masa garansi yang mencapai 5 tahun. Ditambah harga jual yang paling terjangkau, motherboard ini layak dilirik bagi Anda yang ingin mendapatkan solusi Nehalem dengan dana terbatas.
